  • Purpose: To be part of an Emergency Response & Recovery team. Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and the camp coordinator, he/she responsible for Information Management and field assessments to support the smooth flow of information related to CFW issues between the project management and beneficiaries.




Abide by Mercy Hands bylaws and code of conduct, under full authority of the Project Manager Assistant and the Project Manager, The Assessment officer's responsibilities and duties are as follow

  • At least 1 year of relevant professional experience of working with (NGOs) Non-Governmental Organizations
  • Strong contextual understanding of  Nineveh governorate and CFW programming
  • Work effectively as a team member and help build relationships within the team.
  • Actively help and support others to achieve team goals.
  • Active participation to field assessments (logistic organization, identification of needs, monitoring)
  • Assist in the registration of target families of CFW Teams to ensure data is collected and is recorded within the livelihoods programming to be implemented.
  • Regularly monitor project activities and provide timely inputs and feedback to the Livelihoods Project Manager Assistant
  • Facilitation of (or assist in the facilitation of) trainings for Organization staff and beneficiaries when needed
  • Set up (or assist to set up) a clear beneficiary follow-up mechanisms and ensures that appropriate follow-ups are made to support beneficiary
  • Promote equality, diversity and human rights in working practices
  • Attend training courses, workshops and sessions under the supervision of the project Manager
  • Prepare and fill out the information forms designed by the project manager or project manager and the admin and media officer for the purposes recording beneficiaries' information
  • Provide reports requested by the Project Manager
  • Make best use of information technology and communication facilities
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
  • Good experience at least 1 year in similar work
  • Ability to travel to other governorates for purposes of attending workshops or conferences
  • Ability to work in Mosul, /HAA Camp/ Hammam Al-Alil, Salamiya camp, Jadaa5 Camp
  • At least one year of experience in a humanitarian organization or similar work
  • Speak, read and write in Arabic
  • He has good skills in communicating with others and solving problems
  • Ability to work under pressure and in difficult conditions
  • ability to deal with women of different cultural levels
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
